Terms of Service

YT to Text helps users retrieve and work with captions made available for public YouTube videos. Features may change, and not every video or caption language will be available. The service does not download the video or audio to retrieve existing captions.

You may use the service only if you meet the minimum age required by the laws where you live. Where local law requires parental or guardian consent, obtain it before creating an account. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details, and promptly report unauthorized access.

You must have the right to submit and process each URL. You must not:

• Use automated requests or other methods to evade usage limits.
• Circumvent access controls or try to obtain private, restricted, or deleted content.
• Copy or use transcript text in a way that violates copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
• Disrupt, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or another user's access.
• Resell access, share account credentials, or misrepresent the service as your own.

YouTube and other service providers are independent third parties. YT to Text is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube. Their availability, technical changes, and terms may affect whether a caption can be retrieved.

You are responsible for how you use transcript text. Availability through a public video does not transfer ownership or grant permission for every reuse. Check the original video, applicable licenses, and the rights of speakers and creators before publishing or redistributing text.

Only successful transcript results count toward the free limits shown on the Pricing page. Each account can receive a one-time 10 AI credit welcome bonus after authentication; it is not a daily or monthly refill. AI Notes, AI Chat, flashcards, and mind maps require a signed-in account and show their AI credit cost before generation. Paid plans activate after a verified payment event; billing, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and plan-end terms are shown before purchase.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, support for every video, exact caption accuracy, or permanent availability of a third-party caption source. We may change or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary and will avoid misleading users about what remains available.

Access may be restricted for automated abuse, security threats, valid legal requests, non-payment of a paid plan, or a material violation of these terms. Any notice or review process required by applicable law will be respected.

The service provides available captions for convenience and does not guarantee that they are accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Any exclusions or limits of liability apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.

These terms are interpreted under applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections and dispute rights that cannot legally be waived remain available. Contact support first so a concern can be reviewed before a formal dispute.
